(a) the marketing/landing page located at training.cloudsecdefender.com (the “Landing Page”), hosted on the Operator's landing-page/e-mail marketing platform of choice and

(b) the checkout, account, and course-delivery pages operated on the Thinkific technology platform (the “Hosting Platform”), in connection with the online course “The Cybersecurity Abundance Machine” (the “Course”).

This Policy should be read together with the Terms and Conditions of Use and Sale and the Privacy Policy, both available on the Site (defined, for the purposes of this Policy, as the Landing Page together with the Course-related pages on the Hosting Platform), which form an integral part of the contractual relationship between the Operator and any visitor or user of the Site (the “User”, or, in the second person, “You”).

By using the Site, You acknowledge that cookies and similar technologies may be used as described in this Policy. Where required by applicable law, non-essential cookies and pixels will only be activated after You have given Your prior consent through the cookie-consent banner described in Section 5 below.

Article no. 1 – Cookies and similar technologies

1.1. “Cookies” are small text files placed on Your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) by a website You visit. Cookies allow a website to recognize Your device, remember Your preferences, and collect certain information about Your browsing behavior.

1.2. In addition to cookies, We and Our third-party partners may use similar technologies, such as tracking pixels (including the Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel), web beacons, and local/session storage, which serve comparable functions to cookies. For the purposes of this Policy, references to “cookies” include such similar technologies, unless the context requires otherwise.

1.3. Cookies may be “first-party” (set directly by the Site) or “third-party” (set by a domain other than the one You are visiting, such as an advertising or analytics provider). Cookies may also be “session” cookies (deleted when You close Your browser) or “persistent” cookies (remaining on Your device for a set period or until manually deleted).

Article no. 2 – Categories of cookies we use

a) Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the Site to function and cannot be switched off. They are typically set in response to actions You take, such as logging into Your Account, adding the Course to Your cart, or completing checkout on the Hosting Platform. Strictly necessary cookies do not require Your consent under applicable law, as they are indispensable for providing the service You have requested.

b) Functional cookies

These cookies allow the Site to remember choices You make (such as language preference) and provide enhanced, personalized features. They are not strictly necessary but improve Your experience.

c) Analytics/performance cookies

These cookies allow Us to count visits and traffic sources, and to see which pages are most and least popular, so that We can understand and improve the performance of the Landing Page and the Course sales pages (e.g., Google Analytics, and Thinkific's own built-in analytics, where applicable).

d) Advertising/targeting cookies and pixels

These cookies and pixels (in particular, the Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel) are set through Our Site by Our advertising partners. They may be used to build a profile of Your interests and browsing behavior, to measure the effectiveness of Our advertising campaigns, and to show You more relevant advertisements for the Course on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and on TikTok. They may also be used to limit the number of times You see an advertisement and to help measure conversions from Our ad campaigns.

2.1. Functional, analytics, and advertising/targeting cookies are non-essential cookies. Where required by applicable law, in particular for Users located in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, these categories are only activated after You provide Your prior, informed, freely given consent, as described in Section 5.

Article no.4 – Legal basis for the use of cookies

4.1. Strictly necessary cookies are used on the basis of Our legitimate interest in operating a functioning website and, where applicable, to perform the contract with You (e.g., enabling checkout and course access), and do not require separate consent.

4.2. Functional, analytics, and advertising/targeting cookies (including the Meta Pixel, the TikTok Pixel, and Google Analytics) are used on the basis of Your consent, given through the cookie-consent banner described in Section 5, in accordance with the ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC, as amended) and art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, for Users located in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. For Users located outside these jurisdictions, such cookies may be used on the basis of Our legitimate interest in marketing Our Course and measuring the performance of Our advertising campaigns, subject to any applicable opt-out rights described in Section 8 and in Our Privacy Policy.

Article no 5. - The User’s consent and how to manage your preferences

5.1. When You first visit the Site, You will be presented with a cookie-consent banner allowing You to accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or customize Your preferences by category (functional, analytics, advertising).

5.2. You may change or withdraw Your consent at any time by reopening the cookie-preferences panel (typically accessible through a persistent link or icon on the Site, such as “Cookie Settings” or “Privacy Preferences”) or by adjusting Your browser settings as described in Section 6. Withdrawing Your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before such withdrawal.

5.3. If You reject non-essential cookies, You will still be able to browse the Landing Page, create an Account, and purchase the Course; only the functional, analytics, and advertising features described in Section 2 will be limited or disabled.

Article no. 6 – How to control cookies throught your browser

6.1. In addition to the consent mechanism described in Section 5, most web browsers allow You to control cookies through their settings, including blocking or deleting cookies. Please note that blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, may affect the availability and functionality of the Site, including Your ability to log in or complete a purchase.

Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data

Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data

Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

6.2. You may also manage or opt out of interest-based advertising directly through the relevant advertising platform, for example via Your Facebook/Instagram ad preferences (facebook.com/adpreferences) or Your TikTok ad settings within the TikTok app, and, for Google, through Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). You may also visit industry opt-out platforms such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) or the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (youronlinechoices.eu), where applicable to Your location.

Article no. 7- Do not track signals

7.1. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because no uniform industry standard for interpreting DNT signals currently exists, the Site does not, at this time, respond differently to browsers with DNT enabled. Where You are located in the EEA or the UK, Your cookie-consent choices made through the banner described in Section 5 will nonetheless be respected regardless of any DNT signal.

Article no. 8 – Additional information for residents of the United States

8.1. The use of the Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel for advertising purposes may constitute “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain U.S. state privacy laws (including the CCPA/CPRA in California and similar laws in other states). Where applicable, You may opt out of such sharing through the cookie-preferences panel described in Section 5, or, where required, through a dedicated “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism made available on the Site.

8.2. Further information about Your rights as a resident of the United States is available in Our Privacy Policy.

Article no. 9 - Changes to this policy and contact information

9.1. We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies and tracking technologies actually used on the Site (including, in particular, once the final Landing Page Platform is selected), or to reflect changes in applicable law. The updated version will be published on the Site, indicating the date of the last update.

9.2. This Policy was last updated on 09 August 2026
